In this 2 hour class, you will learn:

• How to safely use the FDM 3D printers at Maker Community


• Tips and tricks for getting the most out of your prints.


• Troubleshooting


• Workflow from design to print to finishing

Bringing your own laptop with PrusaSlicer software installed, so that you can follow along, is recommended but not required.

Having undergone this induction you will be able to use any of the 3D printers in the makerspace. If you already have 3D printing experience and believe that you already possess the skills taught in this session, please email us via our contact form to arrange for an assessment to determine if we can approve you for machine use without the skill teaching session. You will, however, still need to attend a shorter separate session to cover the health and safety aspects for the machine and space use.
